Above I was directed to create a political flyer pertaining to the election at the time, and I conveyed it through the idea of “the people vs. the office”
In this video I created a How-to tutorial on tuning a snare drum. I have a passion for music and currently play drums for a church and gig’s outside of church, and I decided to convey that in video format.

The story that I’d like to tell and broadcast is how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected each branch of the Aviation industry. My strategy is to interview two of my close friends and mentors who are part of the aviation industry and whom I highly admire and look up to. My news broadcast strategy is to explain how the pandemic affects each branch from a national standpoint and a personal standpoint and what they endured during that tough time.
Interviewees:
MAJ Brendan De Brun- He discusses how the pandemic affected him personally and how it affected him as an Air Force Pilot.
First Officer Alex P.- He discusses how the pandemic affected him personally and how it affected him as an Airline Pilot, along with the company.
The B-roll that I’m discussing is a mixture of a documentary and a current event story because I am personally interviewing is talking about how it affects the individuals first hand as well, as this topic is a current issue.

NEWS PITCH 1
The story I’d like to broadcast is how the 100 percent opening of Miami, Florida has impacted the safety of those traveling back and forth. My strategy is to gain insight from some college students and how they feel about everything going back to normal so soon, and how those that have gone to Miami could impact how the upcoming school year is run.
Interviews:
- A&T Student: he/she will discuss how they feel about fellow students returning to campus after a vacation in Miami with the rising COVID cases.
- CMS School Staff Member: He/She will discuss their concerns from an administrative and educator perspective as well as a cautious human being, what he/she feels should be done next to ensure safety.
B-roll:
The B-roll that I’m discussing is a current event story because I am personally interviewing and talking about how those recent events affect the individuals first hand as well, as the people as a whole

| [00:00:00:09] Air travel is one of the most important and efficient modes of transportation. Here we are focusing on the city of Charlotte. Charlotte Douglas International Airport. We’re going to see how the pandemic has impacted travel and how its employees feel about it opening back up so soon. [00:00:19:14] What I do is I basically give information to the airlines, which I mean to customers or to our. I’m trying to think of the word one could say, I could say customers information about various airlines, their schedules, where they’re located in the airport, provide customer service for the airport and the city of Charlotte, because I have to make sure that because I work face to face with public that I am protected. I’m protecting them as well. We have masks at our counter so that we can provide to the Patriots and the airport stakeholders as that when they come in. And that’s one of the biggest things, making sure that we are just being protected. And just I guess the biggest things are just knowing, not more knowledgeable, not just on the airport, but on we cover it and the spread of it, because those are the questions that people are asking. | 00:00 after a major economic recession within 00:03 the united states 00:04 travel rates have finally increased but 00:07 the real question is how has it impacted 00:09 the aviation community 00:10 and its branches we’ll find out my name 00:13 is alex petraeus i’m a regional airline 00:14 pilot for american eagle 00:16 major brennan de bruyne i am currently 00:18 an hc130j 00:20 pilot for the united states air force 00:22 okay so 00:23 what could you say is probably the worst 00:26 part of the pandemic um that you could 00:29 possibly relate to your career 00:30 pilots um who were furloughed and 00:33 it was one of those things where no 00:35 matter how far ahead you know about it 00:37 there’s not really any good way to 00:38 prepare for it per se 00:39 um so on october 5th i was officially 00:42 furloughed for my company at american 00:44 eagle 00:44 um with my company specifically i was 00:46 one of 723 pilots who were pretty much 00:49 booted out to the streets um 00:50 because i’m part of the united states 00:52 air force we are still conducting 00:54 operations 00:55 uh like they’ve never stopped in fact 00:57 the united states air force has 00:58 continued 00:59 despite covid at full potential making 01:02 obviously the normal 01:04 uh adjustments to the current current 01:06 global pandemic 01:07 but for the most part the mission has 01:09 always come first and is still the main 01:10 priority 01:12 as such as a pilot i still get to fly as 01:15 much as i normally would 01:17 we just take different precautions so 01:18 far so as far as 01:20 airline furloughs the only potential 01:22 impact that has 01:23 had is on individuals trying to leave 01:26 the air force or because they’re 01:27 retiring seeking jobs 01:29 outside of the military and those jobs 01:32 have 01:32 currently been put on i’m mitchell 01:34 bailey reporting on aggie news | |
